Geitenhouders - Struik Family

In the middle of the beautiful island Goeree Overflakkee lies the farm the Groenewout from the Family Cor and Jenny Struik. The family business exists since the 30s.

Since 1999 out company changed to biological business operation. To work without chemical pesticides and fertilisers is a challenge in order to correctly handle the respect for animal land nature. Together with our son Johannis, we milk around 500 milk goats and we have 200 lambs, several cows for the rest feed and the meat for the family. The fertiliser produced by the animals is spread over the fields and therefore the circle is complete.

The main crops we grow are grass clover, potatoes, sprouts, cauliflower, carrots and onions. Since 2009, after the establishment of the cooperation, we delivery the goat milk to Organic Goatmilk Coöperatie. From the beginning of the establishment I have been involved in the sales of goat milk, nationally and internationally, and we now sit well in the market. I hope that we are able to continue our business with great pleasure for many more years.
